The area in Denton County, Texas, of Castle Hills is a sprawling, desirable 2,500-acre master-planned community on a golf course. It is situated in North Dallas, near to Carrollton and west of Plano. The community's golf course is an 18-hole Jay Morrish-designed course. But the community is not simply limited to golfers, as there are many other attractions and amenities within Castle Hills. The area boasts more than 30 parks, several lakes and trees planted at least every 30 feet. There is a club house and a teaching academy and two community centers that include everything one could need: swimming pool, basketball and tennis courts, workout facilities, and ball fields.

The community is rather new and still has many properties within it for sale. Real estate within Castle Hills generally ranges from the upper $200,000 range up to more than $2 million. The area the community was built upon was formerly the Bright family farm, and it was developed by one of their own, Chris Bright. Children who live in Castle Hills are assigned to the schools in the Lewisville school district, including Independence Elementary School, Castle Hills Elementary School, Killian Middle School and Hebron High. The local Castle Hills Schools Foundation provides additional financial support to the school system from residents. Castle Montessori Schools provides an alternative for younger children.

There are around a dozen shops and restaurants located physically within in the community, making it convenient for residents to get most of what they need without ever having to leave. Celebrations are held for events throughout the year, including an Eater Egg Hunt, a Summer Splashdown Party at the community pool, a Fourth of July celebration, a Labor Day party, a fall festival, a winter social and a Christmas tree lighting ceremony.
