Preston Hollow Real Estate Information

One of the most exclusive neighborhoods in the Dallas area, Preston Hollow, Texas, is a neighborhood in north Dallas. It was incorporated in 1939, but then just a few years later in 1945, residents voted to join the city of Dallas, so the community was annexed. The community was named after a wooded area dotted with creeks and hollows that extends from Preston Road to the west.

The Preston Hollow area of Dallas is the site of some of the most expensive properties in the state, and it is also home to some of the state's most famous and wealthy residents, including Mark Cuban, renowned owner of the Dallas Mavericks, and former U.S. President George W. Bush. Real estate in the area ranges from about $800,000 all the way to estates worth upward of $40 million.

Children who live in the Preston Hollow neighborhood will be zoned to the following schools in the Dallas Independent School District: Preston Hollow Elementary School, Benjamin Franklin Middle School and Hillcrest High School. However, most residents in Preston Hollow send their children instead to private schools. There are plenty of choices for education in this area. Some of the most popular in the region include: Coram Deo Academy, Preston Hollow Presbyterian School, St. Alcuin Montessori School, Greenhill School, Hockaday School, the Episcopal School of Dallas and Parish Episcopal School, Covenant School, St. Mark's School of Texas and Winston School, Ursuline Academy of Dallas and Jesuit College Preparatory School of Dallas. Though the area is primarily high-value residential real estate, it does have a nearby branch of the Dallas Public Library, the Preston Royal Branch.
