Lakewood Real Estate Information

One of the quaint neighborhoods located within East Dallas, Lakewood, Texas, is a small residential community, lying just north of I-30 in Dallas County. The community is more upscale and is a popular destination for those seeking high-value real estate in the Dallas area because it offers an exciting option for those who want a place in the city but don't like dealing with lots of noise and traffic. The area surrounding it is the area's retail center, with trendy boutiques, galleries and restaurants and two wine attractions, Times Ten Cellars and The Wine Therapist. Another attraction in the community is the Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Gardens. Just a few minutes' drive will put shoppers at Hillside Village Shopping Center.

The community puts on a large show during the Lakewood Fourth of July Parade and Celebration parade and festival at Tokalon Park, with fireworks afterward at the Lakewood Country Club. Other events include the Fall Home Festival and Tour, an annual PTA fundraiser.
